From a young age, Valerie was captivated by the artistry of garment-making, inspired by the skill and dedication of her grandmother. With unwavering determination, she set her sights on a career in fashion design, driven by a passion to turn her dreams into reality.
Upon graduating from fashion school, Valerie embarked on a transformative journey, refining her craft through an internship in Milan, where she immersed herself in the meticulous art of sewing Haute Couture wedding dresses. Despite the allure of city life, her heart belonged in the country.
Returning home, Valerie leveraged her expertise to contribute to the retail industry, refining her skills and gaining invaluable experience over the years. However, life's twists and turns led her down a new path—one guided by personal growth and a shift in priorities.
Amidst the embrace of motherhood, Valerie found solace and purpose in the creation of swaddle blankets during her maternity leave. Motivated by her own journey of the loss of her twins at birth, she felt compelled to offer comfort to others facing similar hardships, leading her to donate swaddle sets to local hospitals—a gesture fueled by the belief that every angel deserves to be swaddled in warmth and love.
Driven by a commitment to sustainability and quality, Valerie's swaddle blankets quickly garnered acclaim for their unique prints and eco-friendly fabrics, sparking a surge in demand that prompted her to establish her own brand, Bright Earth (BE). Today, BE stands as a testament to Valerie's vision and resilience, offering a range of thoughtfully made products designed to nurture both body and soul.
